Seven Roots

Tape and Cardboard,   7′ x 8′ x 6′

The juried show this piece was submitted and accepted to challenged the viewer to redefine material and use recycled mediums in whatever way they saw fit. Cardboard being the way that i started most of my sculpture i choose to take a harder look at this process and redefine that process for myself.

“Seven roots” refers to a strong religious number defined in christian upbringing and the form itself speaks to a structure of learning that i felt has been recycled over and over.
