On December 2nd my friends and family joined me for a day of celebration—the opening of my sculpture show at Componere Gallery in St Louis MO. With wine and cheese greeting guests at the door, I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to show my just completed and recent work. “I-IV” is a new set of interpretations of the four elements—all variations on the geometry of a cube. The finish is an oil rub designed to bring the edges and angles into focus. “Elements” is my prior exploration of the four elements (earth, air, fire and water) formed from sheet stainless steel, hand-hammered, welded and painted. A set of “Elements” was purchased in October and now makes its home in Wyoming. The pieces looked fantastic all together in a bright and beautiful gallery setting.
The show will be up for the rest of the month and I encourage anyone that has the opportunity to check it out and tell me what you think!
