Stainless Steel and Acrylic paint, Water: 2′ x 1′ x 7″ Air: 2.5′ x 1.5′ x 10″ Fire: 2′ x 20″ x 1.5′ Earth: 3′ x 7″ x 6″
These four forms are my exploration of primal forces. I am capturing these energies in a static form, expressing not only their power in the natural world but also their stillness. The combination of weight and color is essential to each form, keeping sharp points and tight contour lines as the main focus of my aesthetic. This style and color makes the form breathe with a sensual life in the viewers eyes and the world around them.
Stainless steel sheet metal is rolled and hammered into each form. The center curve of each from is painted to accentuate each pieces unique contours as well as compliment the color to each force.
